Accrobranch

There are 3 places to do Accrobranch

• with the Open-Air Centre at Chambon (next to the campsite) as part of their summer programme (limited places)
• at the Massignac Adventure Park, about 20km away; this is very suitable for teenagers and they also offer a form of bungee jumping.
• at the Bussière Galant lake (50 km) – this is my favourite; you really need to spend a whole day there and take a picnic. There is a beautiful 150m long Tyrolienne here and it’s got a very pleasant trail for all the family to follow.

Rock Climbing

Just at the foot of the campsite we’ve got an equipped rock climbing school site.
Access to this site is free BUT, when the climbing school from the Open-Air Centre at Chambon is there, they have priority.
You can also do organised rock climbing as part of the Centre’s summer programme or with the Active Summer organisation (limited places).
In the nearby commune of Puymoyen, in ‘the valley of clear water’, there is one of the world’s most beautiful rockfaces with some very difficult climbs.

Caving

The Charente is well endowed with caves and potholes.
A few of these are open for exploration if you are a specialist.
If you would like an introduction to caving, you can do this as part of the Open-Air Centre’s summer programme or with the Active Summer organisation (limited places).

Calender

All of the activities offered by the Open-Air Centre’s summer programme or by Active Summer are planned at the end of April.
We will put all the activities online together with their dates.
The number of places is limited ; we strongly advise you to reserve in advance.
